Agenda

Pelin Kazak Bagatur - Product & UX Design Strategist, Freelance (ex-Zalando, ex-Taxfix)
Research strategy success: From “Day 0 of a startup" to "Enterprise vision Work"

In the landscape where user research steers the decisions of C-level executives and founders, the need to creatively adapt research methodologies is paramount. In this talk, I’ll share my experience on how to succeed in a research strategy project, from the early stages of a startup to shaping the expansive vision of enterprises.

Laetitia Sfez - Design Researcher & Associate Director, Innovation, Studio IntO
Innovative ways to carry out foundational research

Join Laetitia in exploring the dynamic landscape of foundational research in the context of future-facing product strategies. In this session, we'll delve into the essence of foundational research, its significance in shaping user-centric product development, and why traditional approaches are becoming obsolete in today's rapidly evolving digital landscape. Discover innovative methodologies tailored for foundational research and learn practical ways to adapt to changing user behaviours and emerging trends.

Louise Petre - Head of User Research, Central Digital & Data Office
How to Plan for and Execute Mixed Methods Research

Louise has worked in digital, data and technology as a user researcher, designer and developer for more than 20 years. She’s worked for both private and public sector organisations on everything from data catalogues to greyhound adoption. An animator and historian by training, Louise has always been interested in how we craft compelling stories about our shared experiences of the world. It was while collaborating with data scientists and performance analysts on GOV.UK that she discovered how mixing methods made it possible to do this by finding the human moments in big numbers.

Michael Laurie - Founder, SamyCX (ex-HoD, Buying Journeys @ Lloyds)
Measurability Frameworks and the Art of Storytelling with Data.

Drawing from his experience at various large organisations, Mike proposes a talk on measurability frameworks and the art of storytelling with data.

This practical discussion aims to share insights on how to effectively measure benefits, especially in slower-paced businesses, and translate data into compelling narratives.
