Agenda:
Trauma-informed Design - Erika Menczigar
2 to 3 out of 5 of your users and colleagues have been dealing or dealt with trauma at some point in their lives. As we interact with the online world non-stop, design shouldn't ignore this.
Where is the line between simply inconsiderate and triggering design elements? What products have taken this into account already? What are the essential research and design considerations we can apply to our users and ourselves, as tech professionals?
My presentation will try to walk you through these today.
Mindful Design: Cognitive Psychology Meets UX - Yanjie Jin
This talk will explore how cognitive psychology can be used to create better UX designs. It will cover topics such as perception, attention, and information processing, and provide examples of how these principles can be applied to real-world UX design challenges. The talk will also include an interactive activity and Q&A.
