Despite being some of the tech industry's earliest pioneers, women have historically been pushed aside. We have made considerable advances in recent years to amend this, but highlighting those who have pushed boundaries in various companies and industries remains as crucial as ever.

Join UX Crunch as we bring the spotlight back to women in UX. You will hear inspiring talks from experts in various areas of UX, UI and Product Design. This event is a wonderful opportunity to network with other women in the field and share valuable experiences and insights.

Speakers

Dr Charlene Jennett

Dr Charlene Jennett is a Senior User Researcher at CybSafe, a cybersecurity start-up on a mission to transform the human aspect of cyber security. Charlene is passionate about championing users’ needs and uncovering powerful UX insights for product teams. Previously, Charlene worked as a postdoctoral researcher at University College London, where she presented at international research conferences and co-authored many publications. Charlene has also worked on UX projects with Zaizi (a public sector consultancy), Microsoft Research Lab in Cambridge, and The Institute of Cancer Research.


Iman Al Jabbar

Iman (pronounced ih-maan) is a User Experience Designer at the British luxury fashion house Burberry. Currently, she is working in the Omnichannel space, helping product teams turn problems into opportunities through collaboration, education and evangelising research and testing. Outside of design, Iman cultivates her indoor aplantment (50+ plants and counting) and enjoys reading romance novels.

Host: Brenden Palmer

Brenden Palmer is a Lead Experience Designer at Inviqa. Bringing over 8 years' of design experience across multiple sectors, Brenden specialises in UX strategy and mixed-methods user research. He is incurably curious about how people behave and why, and loves connecting the dots for organisations seeking to solve complex problems and transform systems.


Konnie Zarnaveli

Konnie Zarnaveli is an Early Stage Experience Designer at Inviqa. Coming from a previous career in analytical chemistry, Konnie’s love of asking good questions and solving complex problems led her to swap lanes into UX design. Konnie works across every stage of the design process, with particular interest towards User Research and using soft skills, such as active listening and communication, to engage stakeholders and create meaningful experiences for users and businesses.


Sarah Haidermota

Sarah has worked in UX and product design for more than three years, both client and agency side in the UK and USA. She was recently promoted to an Experience Designer role at Inviqa; where she has worked on Information Architecture, Usability Testing, User Research and Experience Design projects for the agency’s household name clients. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive Science from UCLA.


Theo Beck

Theodora Beck is a multidisciplinary designer with an interest in every stage of the design process. She brings her experience as a graphic designer as well as her studies in service and innovation design, to work with both a visual and investigative approach. She has a particular interest in designing into complex, networked systems, and considering alternative design methods for sustainable futures.
